How many people live in jester dorm

It is the hub of campus and has more residents than any other residence hall at UT. There are people everywhere! I met some of my closest friends at Jester. There is never a dull or lonely moment when living in this hall! Jester who served Texas as governor from January 21, to July 11, Since Jester was originally built, it has gone from an all male tower and all female tower to both towers being coed, sometimes by floor and sometimes by rooms within a single floor.

The Jester Second Floor Dining Room is an unlimited buffet dining center, whereas the first floor houses our popular a-la-carte venues. It was mostly quiet throughout the day and the only time it really got noisy was maybe some of the weekends. The only complaint about the noisiness I had was the slamming of doors.

It could be heard from down the hall if a door was slammed. The location of Jester West was definitely one of the best perks of living there. There was a dining hall attached to the dorm building and the main walkway of the campus was right outside. Shared bathrooms get messy if you don't clean them go figure.

Food without going outside is nice especially in the summers. Proximity to the gym and guad is nice. Unfortunately it's across campus from engineering. I lived in Jester West for 2 years, in the same room on the first floor.

The first year was cut short because of covid, but the second I got the full year there with the room to myself. Overall it was a good experience living in jester.

The rooms are a bit small and dark, but I loved its location on campus and that I didn't have to leave the building to get food. I had an amazing experience at Jester West Residence Hall.

The staff is very friendly and the maintenance was great. The halls are secure because you need a keycard to enter each floor. The location is nice due to the fact the dining hall is in the same building. The bathrooms are always clean because the janitors do a great job. The students here are kind and welcoming. Overall, it was a great experience. Overall Jester is a really popular dormitory for incoming freshman to live, before covid there were many events that are always happening around Jester and it's always a good time to make friends.

The only bad thing is the rooms are kind of small and depending on your taste you may or may not enjoy the dorm food. Pretty good, everything works out well and the food is alright. I personally got a suite so my room was a little bit bigger, but I would say size is more on the limited size. The dorm does not have anything special to it, it is what it is in that it is what you'd expect.

Jester West is a great place to live as a freshman because the location is fantastic and you will meet a lot of people from your class! It also has great food courts and the famous ''Jendy's'' wendy's which is open until 2am ish which makes it the perfect late snack spot. Jester Hall is in the center of the university. It's so close to everything. The only thing I didn't like about them when I stayed there as a freshman was that the dorms were extremely small as they were shared between two people.

Other friends also stayed in the same building, but compared to mine they got lucky. Mine did not have a sink in my dorm nor closets as other dorms did. It was extremely expensive to stay there.

It's more affordable living out in an apartment or anywhere else. I had only stayed here when I was an incoming freshman but had been moved shortly after. My roommate wasn't the worst but she also was not the best either.

I hardly saw her as the semester went on, probably because we both enjoyed our solitude. The common areas were standard, and my RA was sweet. Jest West was made out to be a relatively loud hall. However, during my time there, it was nice and calm, and the security is very VERY intense, well for the covid situation.

I love Jester with my whole heart. I made a lot of friends here, and I had a great time. When I was deciding what I wanted from a dorm, I chose West Jester because the people and the staff within this building were equipped in helping undergraduates. Jester West is a great choice for freshmen due to its location, size, and price. Jester is a 1 minute walk to the main library, business school, activity center, and gym. The communications building is about a 10 minute walk and the science buildings about a 5 minute walk.

Likewise, the units were recently refurbished and are pretty nice with wood flooring and options for shared or communal bathrooms. Jester is also the home of 2 dinning halls, which is extremely convenient for days where the weather is unpredictable.

Jester also has a bunch of study rooms on each floor and a main study room on the first floor with plenty of spots to study in! This is the dorm if you care about your grades and not so much into the party life. Jester West is a great starter kit for incoming freshman looking to be in the center of all the action at UT.
